What it actually is

Yoga in the salt cave, for sixty minutes, with the halogenerator running throughout. The pairing is less of a gimmick than it sounds: a practice built around controlled, deliberate breathing is the ideal way to get salt aerosol deep into your lungs, and the salt is doing its usual work on your airways while you do yours. You breathe more deliberately in a yoga class than you ever will sitting in a chair.

The class is all levels. The room is dim, lit by salt lamps, and cooler than a normal studio, which most people consider an improvement. It is a slow, breath-led practice rather than a hot vinyasa.

What a session is like

Start to finish, so nothing about your first visit is a surprise.

  1. Bring a mat and a layer

The salt room runs cool by design. Mats are worth bringing; the floor is salt.

  2. Clean white socks or booties for the room

Same rule as every session in the cave: no uncovered shoes on the salt.

  3. Sixty minutes, breath-led

Slow and deliberate rather than fast. The breathing is the part that matters here.

  4. Leave devices in a locker

Salt is corrosive, and this is a room worth being unreachable in.

Who it’s for

If you recognise yourself in one of these, this is probably the right service to book.

You already practise and want the salt

The most efficient way to combine halotherapy with something you were going to do anyway.

You have a respiratory condition and want to move

Breath work in a therapeutic environment, at whatever pace suits you.

You have never done yoga

All levels genuinely means all levels. Nobody here is watching you.

You want a quieter class

A dim salt cave with a small group is a different proposition from a studio of forty people.

Before you book

When to check with your doctor first

Both halves have their own cautions. The halotherapy contraindications apply in full, so do not attend if you are feverish, coughing up blood, or have active tuberculosis, cardiac insufficiency, third-stage COPD, a bleeding disorder or unstable hypertension. On the yoga side:

  • Tell the instructor before class about any injury, recent surgery, or pregnancy
  • If you have a condition affecting balance or blood pressure, mention it so poses can be modified
  • Come out of anything that hurts — every pose has an easier version and the instructor will give it to you

If you have a pulmonary condition, speak to your doctor about halotherapy before your first class. Call us on (407) 542-7818 to check the current schedule and what the class involves.

Pricing & packages

Salt yoga runs on a rotating schedule rather than a fixed weekly slot, and pricing depends on the current term. Call us on (407) 542-7818 or check the schedule for the next block of classes. Adult salt therapy members: ask about including class attendance in your membership.

What guests say

“Just did a 45-minute salt room session and it was the perfect way to relax and detox! The whole studio was very clean and an overall welcoming experience. Would definitely recommend!”

Questions about salt yoga

Do I need yoga experience?

No. The class is all levels and the instructor gives modifications throughout. If you have never been to a yoga class, this is a gentler room to start in than most.

How is this different from a normal yoga class?

It takes place inside the salt cave with the halogenerator running, so you are getting halotherapy for the full sixty minutes. The practice is slower and more breath-led than a studio vinyasa, and the room is cooler and dimmer.

What do I need to bring?

A mat, water, a layer for the cool room, and clean white socks or our booties.

Is salt yoga good for asthma?

The combination of controlled breathing and dry salt aerosol is a reasonable pairing for airway conditions, and plenty of our guests come for exactly that. Talk to your doctor about halotherapy first if you have a diagnosed pulmonary condition, and tell the instructor before class.

How often does the class run?

On a rotating schedule rather than a fixed weekly slot. Check the schedule or call us for the next block.
